Chat apps: modern communication tools
Children can share messages, photos and videos on popular chat apps, like WhatsApp and Messenger, with individuals or large groups. They may also receive messages from friends that upset them, or even from people they don’t know

Use this as an opportunity to discuss when they migh
need to report or block someone, and how to do so.  Share this NSPCC advice with parents

Livestreaming: connecting in real time:
Livestreaming is a feature within familiar platforms like Instagram and TikTok. Children might be sharing their lives with friends, but it’s important for us to know that this can also mean interaction with people they don’t know too.

It’s important to discuss its risks and guide children on handling inappropriate content or comments.
