Educational Visits and Off-Site Activities

Kings Ash Academy manages all educational visits and off-site activities in accordance with recognised national and local authority guidance. The academy follows the Devon/Torbay Outdoor Education, Visits and Off-Site Activities Health and Safety Policy (2024), supported by establishment-specific procedures and a structured approval process through the Evolve system. All visits are carefully planned, risk assessed and approved by trained staff, including the Educational Visits Coordinator and Headteacher, to ensure the safety, wellbeing and inclusion of all pupils.

For every visit, parents can expect:

• Clear communication about purpose, activities and timings
• Appropriate staffing and supervision
• Thorough risk assessment and safeguarding measures
• Emergency procedures and contact arrangements
