To help keep all pupils safe, please ensure the school has up-to-date information about any allergies your child may have. Accurate allergy information enables us to put appropriate support plans in place, train staff effectively, and respond quickly in an emergency. We all have a part to play in creating a safe environment, including following our nut-aware policy and being mindful of the food brought into school. Music

Our school music education consists of three distinct, but interlinked areas of provision.

  • Curriculum music,
  • Instrumental and vocal lessons,
  • Ensemble membership through musical events and opportunities, such as singing in assembly, concerts and shows and trips to professional concerts.

These three areas are accessible to all pupils and build on each other, starting from a foundation set in curriculum music time, supporting progression through co-curricular learning, playing and creating, and enriching this with musical experiences.  Kings Ash Academy has strong links to other schools in our Academy, Torbay and South Devon Music Hub and Torbay and South Devon Music Centre which benefit all pupil’s music development.
