Devon Youth games

This week we took teams from year 6 and years 3 & 4 to the finals of the Devon Schools Summer Games in Exeter.

This event is a mini Olympics and includes sports such as athletics, rounders, Tag rugby and more, as well as giving the pupils chance to have taster sessions in other sports such as fencing and street surfing.

Kings Ash Academy qualified to take part in the Tri Golf tournament as part of the games and competed against 15 other schools from all over Devon. To qualify for this was a huge achievement  in itself after a fast paced period of competition Kings Ash were placed just outside the medals, an awesome performance from all.

A special mention goes to Emily Schofield who was awarded the gold medal for showing Respect.
