Year 5 have been researching Winston Churchill and have come to the conclusion that he was an inspirational person who reached for his dreams and achieved them despite having set backs and challenges. We have been really fascinated by what we have found out and it has led us into discussions about World War 2 and the personality and qualities that Winston Churchill possessed in order to help him get to where he did.
After all this discussion with our friends, we have written a letter to the Royal Mail in order to persuade them to put Churchill on a stamp showing heroes.
