In year 6 we have been learning about Mayan Gods. We have all created our own Mayan God! The Mayans were the first people to discover chocolate and they consumed it through a drink. Their Gods were of great importance.
First of all we researched pictures of Mayan Gods and identified what we liked and disliked about them. This helped us to identify what we wanted our Mayan Gods to look like. We started painting the face, headwear, body, feet and hands. This resulted in us being able to bring all of these elements together to create our own Mayan God who created chocolate!
