Year 5 were lucky enough to meet some coastguards this afternoon, they explained their role and how they came to be coastguards. We were really lucky, we got to try on lots of clothing and explore their equipment which was great fun. As well as being fun, we all realised that their job is so important as they save so many people from around our local beaches.
